Suspension of teaching activities for Students Assembly

On Wednesday, March 12, teaching activities will be suspended from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM to allow student representatives from Cultural Sector 6 (Departments of Political Science, Law, Economics and Management) to hold an assembly at the Polo Piagge.

The assembly aims to foster discussion on the “reduction of the Fondo di Finanziamento Ordinario (FFO) and, more generally, on public defunding of universities, with the consequent cuts and effects that are already impacting and will continue to affect our university. There will be a focus on our departments to enhance understanding of the pre-role reform known as the Bernini reform. The FFO is the primary funding source allocated by the Italian government to public universities. Reductions in this fund can significantly impact university operations, including research and teaching activities. The Bernini reform refers to recent legislative changes affecting the academic career progression, particularly concerning pre-role positions such as research fellows and Ph.D students“.
