HOW TO ATTEND LESSONS – ACADEMIC YEAR 2022/23

The Academic Senate of the University of Pisa decided in its meeting on July 7th, 2022 that the teaching activities (lessons, tutorials, professor reception and so on) in the academic year 2022/2023 shall return to the modalities before the pandemic period, i.e. in presence. However:

  1. the technological tools developed and tested during the emergency period will be kept active, including in particular:
    • Microsoft Teams and/or Google Classroom for each exam, which can be used by the professor to share teaching materials, issue notices, hold receptions at a distance, etc.
    • the Agenda Teaching, which can also be used from mobile devices, which allows students to choose their lesson attendance, provides them a support during the teaching activities (personalised timetable, timetable changes and any links to teaching materials) and forwards communications from the courses and the University;
  2. for courses in which the number of students attending exceeds the physical capacity of the classroom, each Degree Course Council shall provide for supplementary arrangements for face-to-face teaching, in agreement with the individual lecturer(s); these arrangements shall be limited to the period in which the overcrowding persists, as assessed on a weekly by the lecturer on the basis of in-person and remote attendance of lessons;
  3. each Course Council may decide to activate other and more ways of teaching, that best meet specific training requirements (e.g. making supplementary teaching materials available, lectures recordings, etc.).

The Degree Course Council in Management for Business and Economics is considering alternative teaching ways. Please update this page in the next days for more information.
