Dear First Year Students,
We are delighted to welcome you to the bachelor’s degree course, “Management for Business and Economics” at the University of Pisa.
The next three years promise new experiences for you as members of our community. The University of Pisa is one of the most renowned educational institutions in Italy. Although formally founded in 1343, when it was proclaimed a ‘Studium Generale’ with the authority to prepare university teachers, although its origins date back to earlier centuries.
Nowadays the University of Pisa represents a prestigious modern centre for teaching and advanced research. Almost all of its departments are located in the heart of the city in both the historical centre and the outer districts. Most facilities can be reached on foot within 20 minutes from the centre of Pisa.
To prepare you for your first classes, a Welcome Meeting is scheduled for September 21st, 2023 in the Magna Room at the Department of Economics and Management from 09.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m..
There, we will provide you with the relevant information on our course’s organization, lessons and exams to start your academic journey successfully:
- University services for students (Orientation and Disability ervices, Library Service, University Language Centre, International Relations Office, University Sports Centre);
- Educational support, laboratories, and online learning materials;
- Scholarships and housing services.
