The Warwick Economic Summit (WES), a conference organized by the students of the University of Warwick, will take place in Coventry from 10th to 12th February 2023, involving more than 50 universities worldwide with student representation from more than 90 countries.
In these days the delegation of the students of the University of Pisa is being formed. The delegation is limited in number.
For the University of Pisa, Alessandro Zirpoli was selected as “Ambassador” who has the task of coordinating the formation of the delegation and identifying students for the 4 available places.
During the conference, topical issues will mainly be addressed including, but not limited to, political science, economics, law and sustainable development.
To date, the following four speakers have been announced to participate in the conference:
- Edmund Phelps, Nobel Prize Winner in Economics 2006,
- Samir Al-Rifai, former Prime Minister of Jordan
- Janet Henry, Global Chief Economist at HSBC
- Ignazio Visco, Governor of the Bank of Italy.

The selection will be based on the answers given in the questionnaire, trying to create a delegation as diverse as possible in relation to academic interests.
