Deadlines

Application deadlines for non-EU citizens residing abroad and applying for Study VISA: until June, 14th, 2026, H. 11.59 PM.

Application deadlines for EU citizens and equated non-EU citizens: from June, 1st, 2026 until August, 23rd, 2026 H. 11.59 PM.

Places availability

150 places for EU and equated non EU citizens (5 of which reserved for selected students for the Double Degree with Nürtingen-Geislingen University; Up to a maximum of 16 for students selected by the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa.)

50 places for non EU citizens residing abroad and applying for VISA (5 of which reserved to Marco Polo Project candidates and 20 of which reserved for selected students of the Preparatory Year of the Branch of the University of Pisa in Tashkent)

Admission test

To be included in the final ranking list, only one of the following tests is required; candidates must take one of them before applying to MBE and achieved a minimum eligibility score of 10:

  1. CEnT (CISIA English Test) – only the “Mathematics” and “Reasoning on texts & data” sections provided by CISIA Consortium in one of its approved venues and established periods, as scheduled on the CISIA website, to be completed by 11:59 PM of each session deadline. The test is valid only if taken from January 2025. In the event of multiple tests attendance, only the most recent one will be considered valid.
  2. TOLC-E in the Italian Language with English Language Section provided by CISIA Consortium in one of its approved venues and established periods, as scheduled on the CISIA website, to be completed by 11:59 PM of each session deadline. The test is valid only if taken from January 2025. In the event of multiple tests attendance, only the most recent one will be considered valid.
  3. or SAT test provided by College Board in one of its approved venues and established periods, as scheduled on the College Board website, to be completed by 11:59 PM of each session deadline. The test is valid only if taken from January 2025. In the event of multiple tests attendance, only the most recent one will be considered valid.
  4. or GMAT test provided by Graduate Management Admission Council in one of its approved venues and established periods, as scheduled on The Graduate Management Admission Council website, to be completed by 11:59 PM of each session deadline. The test is valid only if taken from January 2025. In the event of multiple tests attendance, only the most recent one will be considered valid.
  5. or ACT test provided by ACT in one of its approved venues and established periods, as scheduled on the ACT website, to be completed by 11:59 PM of each session deadline. The test is valid only if taken from January 2025. In the event of multiple tests attendance, only the most recent one will be considered valid.

Assessment

The Admission Committee can assign up to 46 points as follows:

  1. up to 36 points depending on the score obtained in the TOLC-E in English Language or in the logic, text comprehension and mathematics sections of the TOLC-E in Italian Language or in the CEnT test, only the “Mathematics” and “Reasoning on texts & data” sections which are converted to the TOLC-E scale or in the SAT/GMAT/ ACT test corresponding;
  2. up to 5 points for candidates having passed the exam of Economics (Principles of Economics and Management) with a grade equal or more than 27/30 within the Foundation Course programme provided by the University of Pisa.
  3. up to 5 points for the certificate of English language knowledge, only if awarded between 1st January 2022

  • Cambridge Assessment English C1 (CAE), minimum score 174
  • Cambridge Assessment English C2 (CPE), minimum score 180
  • Cambridge Assessment English BEC Higher, minimum score 180
  • Cambridge Assessment English BEC Vantage, minimum score 174
  • IELTS Academic, minimum score 6.0
  • TOEFL IBT, minimum score 90.
