Ordinary Exams
For each academic year, a student may register for the same exam no more than four times. For exams of courses taught in the first semester, the count resets at the end of the autumn session, on October 1st. For exams of courses taught in the second semester, the count resets at the end of the winter session, on March 1st. Cancellations within the allowed period are not included in this count.”
- For the first semester courses of the first and second year: mid-term test in November (with the completion of the mid-term in December). Ordinary examination calls in: December, January, February, July, September.
- For the second semester courses of the first year: mid-term test in April (with the completion of the mid-term in May). Ordinary examination calls in: May, June, July, September, February.
Special Exam Sessions
The dates for the special exam session can be found on Valutami portal.
Students eligible for the April special exam session include:
- those who are out-of-course;
- parents;
- workers;
- scholarship winners with expiring terms;
- those who have lost their student status;
- enrolled in single transition courses;
- and those graduating in May.

Note: The registration for the exam is required for all the above categories. Registration opens 14 days before the exam (at the same time as the exam) and closes 84 hours before the exam (at the same time as the exam).
For parents, working students and May graduating students, exam registration is subject to the evaluation of the certifications (mandatory); if the certification is deemed inadequate, registration will be automatically deleted.
Documentation can be uploaded on the portal didatticaeco.ec.unipi.it from February 1st (12:00 p.m.).
